Lions’ cave camp is a mid-range accommodation found in Kalama wildlife conservancy in the close proximity of  Samburu national park in the beautiful location in Northern Kenya. The region is the home of wide range of animals especially Elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs and Samburu’s’ special Five. The camp offers panoramic views of the African landscape and Ewaso Nyiro River since its situated on its banks. One can be at the camp by road transport which takes approximately   5-6 hours’ drive   from Nairobi city  to the park or  an hour flying from Nairobi to the close Kalama  airstrip  then  few minutes’ drive to be transferred  to the  camp.
Lions’ cave camp consists of over 5 spacious and comfortable tents with the view of the river and the wilderness that reflects African traditional building style with natural materials and constructed with stones and grass thatched roofs.  Tents are well elevated with raised platform and furnished with high standard private en- suite facilities of flushing toilets, separate cold and hot showers heated on fire, wrapped mosquito nets, free bottled water, free toiletries, complementary bottled water, chairs and tables etc. Each room has sitting areas, verandas and terraces overlooking the stunning views over the savannah, River Ewaso Nyiro  and mountains beyond.  Tents are well equipped with comfortable and excellent beds with clean beddings. The camp offers singles beds for individual, doubles/ twins and triple/family rooming options with different costs ranging from 150$ per night and above but during high/peak season rate goes slightly high than in low season . There is a fireplace where fire glows with comfortable chairs for guests to relax in and share stories/ experience about the Kenya wildlife safaris and it provides warmth during cold nights.
