Samburu Game Lodge as the name suggests is situated within Samburu National Reserve. The landscape is rugged with jagged mountains forming the backdrop setting the scene for an authentic Kenyan safari experience.
Samburu Game Lodge has varying accommodation options ranging from luxurious cottages and bandas to twin and single rooms. The rooms are spread out along the bank of the Ewaso Nyiro River. Further classification of the rooms includes standard rooms, river rooms, and junior suites. All the rooms are well furnished and decorated.
The main restaurant is open on the riverside and offers an array of cuisines to choose from with its daily changing menu. Samburu Game Lodge has three bars namely the Crocodile Bar, the Vulturine Bar, and a pool bar. The bars also offer views of the river.
To cool down in the heat of the Samburu wilderness, one can take a swim in the lodge’s swimming pool or relax in the jacuzzi. Further relaxation is offered at the lodge’s resident spa where a certified spa therapist is available. Game drives on Land Cruisers with open roofs are the main activity. Samburu National Reserve is home to over 1,100 bird species and bird walks are also a popular activity. Finally, one can enjoy sundowners to cap an adventurous day on safari.
