The Macushla House in the upscale area of Karen, Macushla is hidden from all the other estates and hotels that the neighbourhood has long been associated with. The property is precisely 18 kilometres from Nairobi city centre and 30 kilometres from Jomo Kenyatta Airport, making it a good value, practical option for guests looking for a quick transfer to the airport.
Macushla is a small, owner-managed guesthouse with a warm, homely feel. There are two lounges where guests can play board games or read a book from the library about the local culture, as well as a self-service bar.
A swimming pool provides relief during the warmer months, and vervet monkeys are known to swing from the branches around the hotel walls.
