The Sarova Shaba Game Lodge is an elegant oasis in the heart of the Shaba National Park, in the arid northern regions, which was where Joy and George Adamson lived for many years. Sarova Shaba offers Kenya safari accommodation in 80 standard rooms and 5 suites. The rooms are built in a chalet style and are situated overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro River. They are comfortably furnished with beds under mosquito net canopies. They have well-appointed en-suite bathrooms with a shower and private balconies which have beautiful views over the National Park.
There are a number of dining options and venues at the Sarova Shaba Lodge which are produced using ingredients gathered from the lodge’s own vegetable and herb garden. The main restaurant at this lodge in Kenya is the Surpelei Restaurant, which is built on raised stilts overlooking the river and swimming pool. It serves buffet meals three times a day with a wide variety of dishes.
Shaba National Park safari activities are led by knowledgeable local guides. Bush walks can be organised and are a wonderful way to see the areas many species of birds. For something different have the lodge organise a Camel safari with a local Samburu warrior and learn about their lifestyle.
